Pastor David Shoaf
Pastor David Shoaf was raised in a Christian home in Lansing, IL. He accepted Christ at an early age. After receiving his degree from Tennessee Temple University in 1970, he did his graduate work while pastoring a church in Georgia. In 1972 he started a church in Michigan; and in December 1975, he became pastor of Independent Baptist Church of Bolingbrook.
Pastor Shoaf thinks of IBC as a spiritual family. Personal evangelism, discipleship, and corporate services that promote a Biblical relationship with God are the focus of his ministry.
Pastor and his wife, Trina, were married in 1970. They live in Bolingbrook, have 3 children, and 7 wonderful grandchildren.
Pastor Shoaf has an interest in coming along side foreign ministries, particularly those carried out by national people. He has taken several mission trips to encourage national ministry leaders in Lebanon, Jordan, Philippines, Myanmar, India, and Singapore. It is his desire to promote ministries in the 10/40 Window.
